PatchVault › Errors › @vercel/kv & @vercel/postgres → Upstash + Neon

The packages @vercel/postgres and @vercel/kv have been deprecated and the associated products Vercel Postgres and Vercel KV no longer exist.

You are looking for a replacement for @vercel/kv. Vercel's own storage README marks the package deprecated and points KV users to @upstash/redis, installed from the Vercel Marketplace as a native integration.

Why it happens

Vercel KV was a hosted Upstash Redis product. Vercel retired its first-party KV and Postgres products in favour of Marketplace integrations, so the @vercel/kv SDK is no longer maintained.

Manual fix

npm uninstall @vercel/kv
npm install @upstash/redis

// before
import { kv } from '@vercel/kv'
// after
import { Redis } from '@upstash/redis'
const kv = Redis.fromEnv()   // reads UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_URL / _TOKEN

Verify

Re-run your install/build and re-scan the file above. The finding should be gone. The paid fixer applies the same change across a repo: --dry-run shows the diff, --apply keeps a .bak of each file, and --rollback restores them.
